Interest Rates

There appears to be a worldwide decline in interest rates, and the U.S. is part of the world.  So it appears to me that the scare on high interest rates is over for now.  At least the odds on higher rates must be a lot less than they were six months ago.

So, now would be a great time to borrow some money and buy some land. The interest and taxes would be deductible, and the capital gain would have a low rate. If it is timber, there might be some timber income and maybe even a little hunting lease income.

If you pick some land in a warmer climate close to a coast, perhaps you could even move there someday.

If you use your IRA for the investment maybe I can figure out a way for you to buy it on land contract, so it would not violate the law.

How much better can it get?
